Rikki + Geoff at Artifact Events

Rikki and Geoff were married on a cozy November day at Artifact Events, one of our favorite industrial loft spaces on the north side of Chicago. Their glamorous style was reflected through rich tones of burgundy, gold and blush throughout the day, culminating in a reception filled with dazzling floral at every turn. Ed and Aileen Photography was there to capture everything from start to finish, and we’re so excited to share it with you here!

Bringing Their Beautiful Vision to Life

A Fresh Event owner Jen met Rikki and Geoffrey through their very talented florist, Casey of La Rue Floral. Rikki and Jen connected right away — not only did they have similar personal design taste — plus a shared love for a speciality linen —but their personalities clicked right away. Similar to so many A Fresh Event stories, it was pretty much understood from the beginning that these two would be friends post-wedding planning. Jen appreciated Rikki + Geoff’s desire to “go big or go home”, while they appreciated Jen’s ability to help zero in on the perfect decisions for their day (and, ahem, stay within that oh-so-important budget) — making the process much easier and stress-free for them.

Kind Words from the Bride

“Hiring Jen was by far the best decision my husband and I made during the wedding planning process … I loved working with Jen because we were able to work together on everything. I loved that if I thought of an idea she was one hundred percent open to hearing them and gave me her ideas on how we could best execute them … Jen was always ahead of the game and answered all my questions and calmed my worries before I even could express them. My wedding day was on hundred percent perfect and I am proud to say that it was all because of her. If I had to do it all over again, I would hire A Fresh Event in a heart beat!” (Read more reviews on WeddingWire)

Four Reasons We Loved This Wedding

  1. This was the first and ONLY wedding Jen would allow confetti poppers at! They made for an amazing photo, yes, but the planner and hair + makeup team were less amazed by the aftermath.
  2. We put in the timeline a must-have for any cold-weather wedding: a Starbucks stop!
  3. The ghost chairs and blush linens added a beautiful, softer touch to the industrial space.
  4. Three words: Hanging. Floral. Chandelier.

We loved working with you, Rikki and Geoff, and wish you all the best!
