A Stunning November Day At Artifact Events

Isabelle and Joe’s late fall wedding at Artifact Events was the epitome of an A Fresh Event wedding: it was a complete and total reflection of them as a couple. Every detail was infused with personal flair — from a menu that fused French and Midwestern cuisine from Feast & Imbibe, to personalized board games from the groom’s childhood, and even traditional French desserts presented with figurines of their beloved pets, Isabelle and Joe’s wedding hadcreative and heartfelt details everywhere you turned. The rich tones of their tablescapes echoed the gorgeous fall foliage around Chicago that day, which was all captured beautifully by Ed & Aileen Photography. We’re so excited to share it all with you here!

In AFE Owner Jen’s Words:

“My relationship with Isabelle started long before she and Joe got engaged — she used to be my personal trainer (flexes bicep). Quickly we became friends as we hit it off over HIIT workouts and our shared experiences of being business owners. I was over the moon happy for Isabelle and Joe when I heard the good news of their engagement and was speechless when Isabelle asked me to be their wedding planner. The tables were turned and it was now up to me to get Isabelle and Joe into wedding planning shape! (flexes the other bicep)”

Kind Words from Isabelle:

“[Hiring a planner] took the burdensome chores that come with planning away from us which helped make the process leading up to the wedding FUN and stress-free. Because of the above, I have very special memories of planning the fun stuff with my parents; no doubt there would have been MANY disagreements without Jen. Other than marrying my husband, this may be the biggest gift Jen could give me … The day of my family, fiancé and I got to have the time of our lives without having to worry about anything. And that alone is worth every single penny. It is clear Jen is a wedding planner because she wants to help people and that purpose makes her the best in her field. She doesn’t force opinions and ideals on you, she is very direct and she will always have your back. I can’t recommend her enough.”

Five Reasons We Loved This Wedding

  • The late fall floral choices: Isabelle’s bouquet used cabbage and artichokes for a gorgeous and unique palette.
  • They honored the bride’s French heritage with gorgeous pastries and croquembouche.
  • They honored the groom’s Midwestern heritage with personalized cribbage boards for guests to play at cocktail hour.
  • As avid travelers, the couple used luggage tags as their guests’ place cards.
  • We LOVED Isabelle’s fabulous red jumpsuit that she changed into for dancing!

We were delighted to plan with you, Isabelle and Joe, and wish you many happy years together!
