Callie and Sal’s celebration last December was a winter wedding filled with heart — with a rich palette of gold, green and sparkling white, every corner of Venue Six10’s Crown Hall was filled with cozy touches of warm candlelight and so much joy. The couple began their day by getting ready at The Gwen and stopped for pictures around Chicago before being married in a ceremony at St. Teresa D’Avila. That evening, guests arrived at Venue Six10 to find that the design team had transformed the modern, airy space into a festive wonderland. After a delicious meal catered by Blue Plate, guests packed the dance floor when Arlen Music Productions took the stage. Jenna Marie Photography and The Alcantaras captured every detail and every smile, and we’re so glad to be able to share the love with you here!

When “Working Together” Doesn’t Feel like “Work”
Callie found A Fresh Event on The Knot and had a great first conversation with Jen, but wanted to be sure that Sal was on board too. Once all three were on a second call, they discovered something very important: they all share a love for the Green Bay Packers. (Jen can’t be certain, but she’s pretty sure that’s what sealed the deal!) From that moment on, the planning process was fun, stress-free and totally memorable for all parties involved. Jen got close with the couples parents, as well — they actually convinced her to have a post-wedding cocktail at The Gwen’s bar when they spotted her trying to sneak up to her room! Since then, Jen and Callie have kept in touch — meeting for coffee and Soulcycle rides. We love being able to keep in touch with our clients once we’ve spent so much time with them planning!

In Callie’s Words:
“Everyone kept warning us how stressful wedding planning was, but Jen made it manageable and truly enjoyable. …. I’m a Type A planner (and so is my mom and husband), so initially I didn’t know if we needed a planner. However, my friends encouraged me to look into it. We interviewed five planners, and Jen stood out among the others. It was as if I hired a best friend to plan with … Another reason to hire Jen? She helped mediate a lot of our decisions. Planning can get tricky with everyone’s opinions within the family, and Jen was a great resource to get honest feedback and someone I felt comfortable sharing my personal opinions with. We are so excited to have Jen as a lifelong friend. She helped us pull off the most beautiful day, and we are forever grateful.” (Read Callie’s full review and more on The Knot)

Four Reasons We Loved This Wedding
- The cozy-chic style: we adored the bridesmaids’ plaid pajamas and Callie’s white stole!
- Callie and Sal wrote their own vows and said them to each other at their first look.
- Sparkling white tablecloths and evergreen velvet linens made for perfect December tablescapes: especially coupled with the lush garland on the head table.
- Callie really wanted it to snow on her wedding day, though it ended up not being in the forecast. Incredibly, it snowed for five magical minutes while they were taking photos — a wedding day miracle!

Callie and Sal, we loved working with you, and wish you all the best!
