Our Story — When Couple + Planner Meet

The groom’s mother reached out to me last summer — the planning was going well but they were hoping for someone to step in as the big day approached. I met with Melissa & Kyle about two months out from their wedding and, within the first 10 minutes, knew they were my couple. I mean, their introduction song was Space Jam by the Quad City DJs — we were meant to be!

The details for this wedding were so well thought out and absolutely amazing. Avid travelers, every guest’s welcome bag had a “passport” that listed the schedule of events. They met on Coffee Meets Bagel so they sipped their coffee that morning from matching ‘You’re the Coffee to my Bagel’ mugs. And the chuppah! Hand embroidered by the groom’s mother — it included parts of, not only her wedding dress but also the groom’s grandmother’s wedding dress. Seeing it in person took your breath away. To top it all off, Melissa brought the freaking house down with her rendition of “At Last” — I still get goosebumps thinking about it.
